“For many, the role of Christians in relationship to the surrounding environment comes down to stewardship. Just like our talents and abilities, or our financial resources, God did not give us our ecological resources merely for our own benefit, but also so we could participate in the process of Creation”.

The FCCLG Green Team holds many events and programs throughout the year. Participation with the Green Team could involve everything from participating in our yearly Sustainability Fair to engaging in La Grange-area recycling events. To learn more and join up, contact Laurie Braun.

The FCCLG Book Club is an excellent opportunity to explore important social justice, and historical topics through the books chosen among the group. At each meeting a book is selected and then a given date will be set to meet online (Zoom) for discussion.

Past book selections include: “Three Girls from Bronzeville: A Uniquely American Memoir of Race, Fate and Sisterhood” by Dawn Turner, “Edith: The Rouge Rockefeller McCormick” by Andrea Friederici Ross, and “Hamnet” by Maggie O’Farrell.

The Book Club meets virtually via Zoom. All readers are welcome!
