There are many references in the Bible of spiritual walking.
Gal. 5:25, “If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk (stoichew) by the Spirit.” Eph. 5:1, 2, “Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk (peripatew) in love, just as Christ also loved you.
On select dates, Wacky Walkers meet after Sunday worship at a local Forest Preserve (i.e., Hidden Lakes, Salt Creek Woods Nature Preserve) for a shared walk through the trails followed by fellowship as a designated hosting house or restaurant.
To learn more and join the Wacky Walkers, contact Jerry Palmer, Petra Hentzel, or Angela Harrison.
Our adult faith formation program holds online (Zoom) readings and discussions around select books that cover a wide range of topics surrounding faith and biblical writings.
Example of past readings include: “Short Stories by Jesus: The Enigmatic Parables by a Controversial Rabbi” by Amy-Jill Levine, and “Know Doubt: Embracing Uncertainty in your Faith” by John Ortberg.
Adult Faith Formation meetings take place Fridays @ 3:30pm CST on Zoom.
Contact Jerry Palmer for details. Newcomers are always welcome.
